Hillvale Park Standing Water Project Complete! Minimize
You may have noticed some huge trenches being dug and a drainage system being installed in Hillvale Park. This has been provided by the City to address the severe standing water issue that has historically plagued the park. The city Public Works department prioritized this project in response to residents' requests to their aldermen. Specifically, a perforated pipe was installed in a rock bed that will allow water to flow as it does now, but will infiltrate into the area where the pipe is. What does not go into the ground will flow through the pipe to the inlet to the east where the under drains will attach. Following the work and after grass grows back, no one will be able to tell anything is there, except there will be no standing water. If you would like to express your appreciation, please e-mail Paul Wojciechowski at wojo@clayton.ci.mo.us.
